Hashkafah.com

Hashkafah.com is rife with strife. People are accusing other people. People are attacking the person instead of attacking the message. Hashkafah.com, when it was still small, was such a nice place. People used to be nice to each other, the creeps weren't there yet. Now there are some creeps, some nuts, some normal people, I guess it's a bad mix. I think this is the point where we will see if Hashkafah.com is here to stay or is a passing fad. I think that if the Hashkafaniks weather this storm they are here to stay.
What they definitely need to do though is get a strong moderating team. In a place where people think they're anonymous they tend to do things they wouldn't otherwise do. I think even these creeps are a lot more normal in real-life. So, in absence of a system where people are forced to use real names, where every person is known by at least one other in real-life, a strong moderating team is needed.
I am sure the answer is that the people behind hashkafah.com have real lives to attend to, so I am waiting to see what the outcome of the latest controversies will be.

As an example of how the site would have been different with a strong moderating team, a person with a record like this would not have been allowed to become a member. Which raises the question, why would someone use the same screen-name for these sites as for a site with hashkafah in its title?

Shlomo, members' pasts are not investigated and no one is discriminated against. Anyone can join h.com if s/he wants, but if someone abuses it, then it's pretty bad...

Well I'm gone now and MS has scaled down his; maybe the ppl who didnt like him will be happier now.

Actually h.com improved now and its more interesting to read. (I still lurk but dont post).
