How do we take our inspiration along for the rest of the year???

When it's the kind of inspiration that is very immediate, I try to do a mitzvah with the enhanced kavanah that comes along with that (from the pasuk - Im ta'iru im te'oreru es ha'ahavah ad she'techpatz - when you feel a hisorerus [ta'iru/te'oreru], channel it into a chefetz shel mitzvah [she'techpatz]).
When I get a more general feeling of hisorerus, I try to commit to something (usually refraining from something) which I feel will be feasible to maintain on a long-term basis, even if the inspiration fades.
